North East Wisconsin Home Learners is a secular support group for families who choose to educate their children at home. NEWHL provides support and information in a relaxed and welcoming environment. We are a group of people with widely varying interests, philosophies and lifestyles; we welcome families of all varieties. Please be respectful of and to each other regardless of our differences.

Our guidelines: treat others as you would like to be treated and give others the benefit of the doubt.  We are all loving, caring parents who are trying to do the best for our families. 
 
Activities are member-sponsored, based on interests, and may include monthly potlucks, field trips, park days and gatherings hosted by families relating to areas of interest (for example, book discussion groups, science activity groups, drama groups, etc).

In the interests of keeping our children safe, we ask that if you take pictures at any events, that you not post them publicly (on blogs, web forums, etc.) without the express permission of the other families in the picture. We have a photo section of our Yahoo group that is viewable only to members.
