This group is being designed as a resource/support list for leaders of any homeschool groups within the northeast Tennessee region. One of the main purposes of forming this group is so that you can receive information of events or opportunities for homeschoolers in our region and pass that information on to your own particular local support group.

This group is only to be used to share the above information OR ask specific questions about leadership. In other words, questions about how to set up a co-op or whether anyone else is interested in helping organize an art fair are appropriate. This is NOT to be a forum for debate. (The OT Homeschool digest is a better forum for general discussion.) Negative comments/responses are not acceptable.

The regular Homeschool Digest is a terrific resource and this is not meant to replace that, but rather this is being set up as a resource for leaders only. When you receive messages through this digest, you will choose which ones to forward on to your own group so one person in each support group needs to be in charge of that. Also, hopefully you will benefit from questions and answers about leadership.

Because we will be discussing leadership issues at times, membership to this group is restricted to invitation only. This is just a forum for leaders to encourage one another, share advice occasionally, and definitely share information about events that pertain to us all - regardless of group affiliation. You can choose your "leaders" (whether co-op director, board member, activities person, etc.), but this will be limited to four per support group so select your leaders who would benefit most from the information.

Leadership is a great responsibility - in the sense of "big" and also "wonderful." We have some terrific local groups in this area and I pray that this list will help you be even better leaders and provide even more resources for the members of your group. Thank you for the work you do!
