Re: [N3FJP_Software_Users] Ohio QSO Party Rules Change
Hi Paul,
Thanks for your e-mail. Actually, the first I heard about that possibility was just this morning, which isn't enough time to make the change for this year anyway, but it may not be required. I received this information earlier today from another user:
I may have spoke to soon. There appears to be problems inside the OQP camp these days. There seems to be a tug-of-war on who really sponsors the OQP. The original webpage that I copied the below rules from at www.oqp.us is considered now to be the renegade OQP.
The new webpage at www.ohqp.org has the rules as they were last year and no digital or scoring changes. I tend to agree that this is the official OQP site.
At this point I say no changes are needed to the program.
---
I'm not about to get caught in the middle of this "tug-of-war", trying to figure out who is "in charge" and quite possibly do a lot of work for no reason!
73, Scott

Subject: [N3FJP_Software_Users] Ohio QSO Party Rules Change
Scott,
I don't know how you are normally made aware of rule changes but I thought
I would advise you that the Ohio QSO Party has made changes. Digital QSOs
now count the same as CW and QSOs made on bands above 20M carry a higher
point value.
After the contest, after I have generaded the adif file, when I enter it into AC log, I have to enter the signal report figures line by line. Is there a way...
Interesting question about "valid qso." If 59 wasn't exchanged, recording 59 in the QSO data isn't truthful, thus, not valid. So what are we to make of...
Hi John and All, When you click File > Export ADIF from the Field Day program, it will ask you what you want to use to identify PH contacts.? Just enter SSB...
Roger, that works great. What is the workaround for digital contacts since 'DIG' is not a valid ADIF mode? This really leads to a broader question about ADIF...

John thank you very much; I missed this via my haste . Indeed this is a much more comprehensive list of modes. There is still no "DIG" mode though and, thus,...

That's ashame Floyd. EQSL's own import web page... http://www.eqsl.cc/qslcard/ADIFContentSpecs.cfm ...shows only these fields as required... Minimum valid...
Floyd, I confirm eQSL imports just fine without the RST reports. I had a bunch of QSLs a few of which contained no RST values of any sort in the ADIF file and...

The suggestion here works, it is done many times. It is important to remember that the "requirements" for the exchange must be met or it is not a valid QSO....
Interesting. I just checked my eQSLs and lots of them do not have signal reports. They uploaded just fine and none were rejected. You might try it and see...
Here is a solution to your problem. Export the Field Day ADIF file. Open the ADIF file in Note Pad. Do a ctrl+H to bring up the replace function. Type "<DXCC:"...
