Description

N-PRO stands for N-scale prototypical...which in modelling terms means:"just like the real thing!" N-PRO modules are designed, built and operated by the Dayton N-Dependent N-Scalers (Adam Arnold and Randall Smith) from Ohio. For beginners, a "module" is a section of model railroad track with scenery built on a frame that when connected with other modules, can create an entire layout for trains to run on. In our case, we have 6 straight modules and 4 curve modules that connect to form a large oval shaped layout that we take to train shows. We didn't want to be part of any large "clubs" so we formed our own. The core of our module design started with a simple 6 foot long by 16 inch wide straight module that features a single track main line that is in the center of the module. Our curve modules are also 6 feet long which allow for a beautiful wide sweeping curve. Each module (except for the "floating" 3 foot straight) has self contained folding legs that have T-nut/wing nut height adjusters on the bottoms. They also have a "balanced" handle on the inside frame runner so one person can easily carry a module with one hand. Track: Atlas code 55 flex and switches. We used Micro Engineering code 55 for our passing siding to get a good crooked rail and tie look. Power/Control: MRC Controlmaster 20 walkaround throttle. Roadbed: Midwest cork. Subroadbed and scenery base: 1 inch and 2 inch Owens Corning "pink" foam! Power is carried through a pair of "bus" wires with feeders soldered to the rails in at least one place on each module. Electricity is passed between modules 2 ways to ensure no stalling locomotives...through the rails and through 2 bolts threaded through T-nuts that the bus wires are soldered to. We are currently working on many projects such as a custom 86 ft. greenville box car. Check out the Dayton N-Dependent N-Scale Yahoo group for more info and pics!

HO & N Scale Graffiti Decals
Some consider it an eye sore while others see it as an art form. Whatever your opinion, graffiti has existed since ancient times and can be found everywhere
