About the Montclair Village Association...
The MVA is a Business Improvement District (BID) made up of retail and service businesses in Montclair Village and the immediate surrounding area. The Montclair Village Association has 240 members and board of directors of 14, elected annually from the membership. An annual event in July honors the board of directors and provides an opportunity for merchants to socialize.
MVA Board meetings are open to the public and merchants are encouraged to attend. They are held on the first Wednesday of the month from 6:15 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. at Pacific National Bank located across the street from Albertson’s at 1998 Mountain Blvd.
The MVA affords singular support to the Montclair Village business district and fosters a close, direct working relationship with the City of Oakland to protect and promote the interests of Montclair Village: street cleaning, garbage disposal, building codes, zoning laws, traffic and parking. The MVA nurtures an inviting and healthy business climate, plants seasonal flowers in curbside containers, provides private security patrol, promotional opportunities, and general up-keep and beautification of the Village. All members are listed on our website (www.montclairvillage.com).
