Do take a look at this site. Echoing Andrew's sentiments, these fakes ARE
dangerous. I had the misfortune to buy one about a month ago--it is a Nerva
denarius COS II DESIGN III PP. The weight is correct (maybe just a little
on the heavy side) at 3.44 g, and the specific gravity is correct at about
10, indicating good silver. The surfaces are not too bad, especially for a
coin in fine condition. And the edge is well done also--under magnification
there's just the slightest hint of a seam and what I can convince myself
might be file marks. Somebody went to a whole lot of trouble to make a
great fake of a coin that's worth $60. Beware.
