Monday Women (Liverpool) is an open-access e-group and meeting-up opportunity for Liverpool-based women, to share views and news. (Please see our website, www.mondaywomen.co.uk for more details.) We held an inaugural meeting in Liverpool's Everyman Bistro Third Room on Monday 3 March 2003, and, although there have been some changes at times over the years, we continue to meet there on an 'everyone welcome' basis.
Meetings are on the first Monday of each month (except some Bank Holidays - please see website or phone as above to check) from 5.45 to about 7.30 p.m.. Children are welcome where this allows their mother / carer to join us. Members arrive and leave as they please, and (women) guests are always welcome.
There is no formal membership for the Group and no Officers, or agenda. There are no costs, fees or admission charges for meetings or for 'joining' the e-group, which are both open to all on a no-obligation basis. This is simply a relaxed and informal meeting arrangement for women in Liverpool and Merseyside.
Topics for discussion and exchange of information between individuals attending / joining in the e-group might be anything from needing a playgroup, traffic crossing or bank somewhere, to informing people about a special event or enquiring who else might be interested in setting up a business or community group!
Attending face-to-face events is optional, and e-group members do not necessarily attend Monday Women events.
The Monday Women e-group exists only to facilitate contact and networking between busy women; some people attend our events and others may not be able to.
Do join the Monday Women e-group and / or come to our events, and spread the word to other women as well. We look forward to hearing from you.
