Monastic Life is an ecumenical Benedictine community designed to foster shared information and communication among those interested particularly, but not exclusively, in Christian monasticism. Monastic Life is for the religious (monk, nun and sister) and lay people including, especially, Benedictine Oblates and lay members of other Orders. Topics are wide-ranging and include (but are not limited to) monastic life in general and in specifics (worship, prayer, work, study, etc.); living a monastic life inside or a monastically-inspired life outside a monastery; the Christian Church in general. The listowner may on occasion insist that a discussion be stopped for good reason. New members' posts will be moderated initially, that is, requiring approval before posted to list, until we get to know them a bit better.
