MonasticLife@Yahoogroups.com is an ecumenical community designed to foster shared information, communication and fellowship among people interested particularly, but not exclusively, in Christian monasticism. Topics are wide-ranging and include (but are not limited to) monastic life in general and to specific monastic topics such as worship/prayer, work, study, and leisure as well as monastic history and tradition and current, lived monastic life. Interest in the group centers around all things monastic (especially Benedictine) and especially the challenges of living a monastically-inspired life in the world. The listowner may on occasion insist that a discussion be stopped for good reason. New members' posts will be moderated initially, that is, requiring approval before posted to list, until we get to know them a bit better.
All applicants will be asked to complete and return an application form as a condition of membership.
