A group for Southern California model railroaders and model railroad layout owners to share their progress, experiences, tips and techniques with each other. All Southern California model railroaders, with or without layouts, are very welcome to participate.

Member layouts can be of any railroad, time period or geographic setting, however, the physical location of the layout must be in the southern half of the state.

Model railroad club news and local railroad events also are appropriate topics.

Discussions are to remain on topic and civil at all times. As this site is not a Chat Room, messages intended for one individual should not be posted for the entire group. Use of this site for commercial purposes or individual selling is not allowed. Violators of these policies will be banned from the group.

LAYOUT OF THE MONTH: Each month an image from a local layout will be featured here. The Layout Of The Month for October/November 2009 is Mark Lestico’s N scale Union Pacific Cascade Subdivision in Whittier. See Message Post #3230 for more details about Mark’s layout.

LAYOUT TOURS: The Simi Valley-West San Fernando Valley-Santa Clarita area tour was just completed. More tours will be scheduled and announced shortly.
