1. The next bimonthly Potluck Dinner Meeting, Monday, Jan. 8th.
The January potluck will be at Hennepin Avenue Methodist Church. January 8th
from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. The program will be: "The Right to Refuse to Kill:
How the idea has been introduced into the rituals and programs of St. Joan
of Arc Catholic Church."

2. Look at our local MnECAPC Yahoo! group site - consider joining. Visit >
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MnECAPC
If you have received this message directly from Yahoo.com you are on the group's
e-mail list. Many of you are actual "group members" as well, and can access the
files posted, past messages and additional features. There is no cost and
essentially no risk in signing up for an id and password. If you have any
questions regarding this please feel free to contact me directly at
rolsen6376@...

3. Letters from Nils Dybvig, CPT member from Minnesota.
Many of you know Nils, who was the original "owner" of this e-mail list for
MnECAPC. Nils has recently, with his wife Michele, left the Twin Cities for
South America to serve with the Christian Peacemaker Teams. I have this fall
received two letters which Nils and Michele have sent to their many friends and
family. I have posted them as files on our website; you may read them by
visiting >
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MnECAPC/files
To access "files" you must have an id and password. See item 2 above.

4. National ECAPC website updated to include information about our Twin Cities
group.
Explore > http://www.ecapc.org
On the left side of the Home Page click on "Grow A Movement"
Then click on "Local Support" and select "Twin Cities"
The "Twin Cities" page has three additional links for you to explore.
The "Twin Cities" page can be reached directly at >
http://www.ecapc.org/twincities.asp
There are also many other resources and items of interest available on the
national website.

5. National Registry of Peace Churches
While exploring the website of the national ECAPC find near the top left of the
Home page the link "National Registry" and take a look. Consider joining as an
individual.

6. Three year grant from Schumaker Foundation
The national ECAPC has received a grant (3-year) of $500,000 from the Schumaker
Family Foundation of Kansas. We will have more news about this at the January
Potluck Dinner Meeting.

7. Download and read letter from national ECAPC office to members
The letter is available as a file at our local MnECAPC site. See items 2 and 3
above.

8. Planning a 1 - 3 day special Twin Cities event for next September
Our Steering Committee is just beginning to discuss this. Please let us know if
you have ideas and/or would like to volunteer to work on this event.
