we’ll eat promptly at 6:30 P.M.

Where: St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 2914 W.
44th Street, Minneapolis.
Directions: go to 50th Street in Minneapolis and then
go north on either Upton or Xerxes; the church is
located between those streets near the Linden Hills

enter through the east door.

Who: You and… Someone from another church? Someone who
needs to know about ECAPC? Your pastor? Your teens?
Your youth group?

Why: Support, networking, delicious food and an
outstanding program!

This will be an intergenerational opportunity to make
war! With others, try your hand at creating a war that
meets all of the criteria of the Just War Theory and
then present your plan to a panel of "bishops." Is it
possible to meet the criteria in the 21st century?
Come and try! The criteria are listed below in case
you want to start thinking of a plan.

1. The war must have a just cause.
2. It must we waged by a legitimate authority.
3. It must be formally declared.
4. It must be fought with a peaceful intention.
5. It must be a last resort
6. There must be a reasonable hope of success.
7. The means used must possess proportionality to the
ends sought.
8. Noncombatants must be given immunity.
9. Prisoners must be treated humanely.
10. International treaties and conventions must be
honored.

We’ll see you in May!
