Every Church a Peace Church (ECAPC) January Potluck

COME ONE, COME ALL!

What: ECAPC Bimonthy Potluck

When: Tuesday, January 10 at 6:30 PM (Please note
that we are meeting on Tuesday instead of Monday this
month.)

Where: Great Hall of the Basilica of St. Mary, 888
17th Street, Minneapolis (between 16th and 17th on
Hennepin Avenue). Parking is available on the
streets surrounding the Basilica and the school. Lot
parking for $1.00 is available in the lot behind the
Basilica. Enter the church on the west end.

Who: You and . . . someone from another church?
Someone who needs to know about ECAPC? Your pastor?

Why: Support , networking, delicious food, and an
outstanding program! The program will be on "The
Non-violent Response," looking at alternatives to
traditional military/violent solutions to conflict
including the Non-violent Peaceforce and Christian
Peacemaker Teams.

We'll see you in January!

ALSO: together with many other organizations, ECAPC
invites you to join us in a candlelight service to
remember the children who are always the first victims
of war.

OUT OF THE DARKNESS
INTO THE LIGHT

A Candlelight Service for
The Children of Iraq
And Other Child Victims of War

Wednesday, December 28, 2005, 6:30 pm
St. Joan of Arc Church
4537 - 3rd Avenue South
Minneapolis, MN

In this candlelight service we will commemorate the
children who have been and continue to be victimized
by war.  By keeping alive in our hearts the memory of
these innocent children, we will renew our hope and
recommit ourselves to speaking out publicly against
war, injustice and the "politics of empire."

FINALLY - anyone who is interested in working on a
website for the Twin Cities ECAPC group, please
contact Nils Dybvig (nilsdybvig@...).

The national ECAPC organization already has a website
(check it out at www.ecapc.org) and we'd like to
create a website in conjunction with them to make
information about our local group more accessible.
Nils is looking for a small committee of people with
an interest in helping us decide what information
needs to be included. Web design experience might be
helpful, but is not necessary.
