On Thursday, September 29 through Saturday, October 1, the American Friends Service Committee's Eyes Wide Open exhibit of boots honoring U.S. military and Iraqi casualties from the Iraq War is coming to the Twin Cities. It will be at the College of St. Catherine. This is a powerful exhibit memorializing those who have died and a witness to our belief that no war can justify its
human cost. Many of you will want to see it.
Volunteers are being organized to help with the exhibit. Transportation is an area that could use some more help. The St. Kate's campus will be especially busy that weekend, and parking will not be available on campus. Car pooling will be appropriate, and it has been suggested that churches lend their vans to bring and shuttle visitors. If you or someone you know would be interested in helping with transportation, please call Bara Berg at 651-292-1492.

Program: August 9: A Chaplain's Reflections
on Nagasaki
Father George Zabelka was the Catholic chaplain who served the Air Force pilots who dropped the bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Forty years later, in 1985, he was interviewed about his thoughts then and now. In an interesting conversation, he reveals how his thinking changed. Local actors will present this dialogue, with time for reflection and discussion. We'll also have an opportunity for a few congregations to report on their peace church work. If you would like to report, please call Polly Mann at 612-871-2229.
We'll see you in September!
