Who is TERRY TWIST???
Many speculate that the Terry Twist doll is actually a Miss Ideal doll with twist wrists. I have never seen a Miss IDeal with twist wrists. I know of one Miss IDeal who reportedly has flange arms with twist wrists. I am waiting to receive a picture of this doll. The 30" Betsy McCall has strung arms and twist wrists. It is conceivable that a Miss IDeal has been repaired, at some time, using Betsy McCall arms. The mechanism inside the arm is clearly and distinctively NOT by Ideal. If someone saw a doll with Betsy McCall arms, then yes, the myth could have been generated. We are still searching for the real Terry Twist - or the history of the names.
I propose that the Terry Twist doll is actually a pigtail model wearing a cheerleader outfit...What do you think? Want to discuss it? Come on in...
