I recently learned that another of my favorite parks is now in its last season. Miracle Strip Amusement Park, in Panama City Beach, Fla, is being torn down to make way for the building of a mall, or condos. Don't they ever learn? Opryland USA, in Nashville, went this route, and the tourist business there has never been the same. This park has been here for 41 years! With my family, I spent fun filled summers there many times. The park wasn't just a teenage hang out, as it's being said now. It was an enjoyable place for families to have fun, and it had its own atmosphere. That's what makes the independent parks special in their own way. They're not just a carbon copy of everywhere else. America is losing this. Here, I would like to keep the memories alive of Miracle Strip Amusement Park, and what use to be. Won't you come join me?
