This group is an outgrowth of the Mindfulness Practising Group And Freedom Sangha located in Brisbane.
Thich Nhat Hanh teaches that a community of friends (sangha) is an essential ingredient in the practice of mindfulness. If we allow ourselves to be in a good sangha, transformation will come naturally as our spiritual practice grows in a supportive atmosphere of mutual development.
Our main concern is therefore to build a happy sangha - taking care of each person,looking into his pain,her difficulties,his aspirations, her fear,his hopes in order to make everyone comfortable and happy.
When we see a sangha whose practice reveals peace, calm,and happines, confidence is born in us right away.
This e-group sangha seeks to water the seeds of peace,joy and loving kindness in all of us by keeping in touch and supporting each other outside of our meetings, by sharing the fruits of our practice and our lives, by advising of social get-togethers and fun activities, and by organizing participation in community social action programs.
