Hi,

"The Art of Patrick Turner" exhibition and gathering is being held this coming
weekend, August 21 & 22, 2009 at the Marshall Building, 207 E. Buffalo Street.

The opening reception is Friday, August 21, 5:30 pm - 9 pm. The next day,
Saturday, August 22, a
continental breakfast begins at 10:30 am with a panel discussion on collecting
and investing beginning at 11:00 am. There is a closing reception and Gathering
of Artists from 1 - 4 pm.


However, I wanted to bring close attention to Saturday afternoon. At the
gathering of artists from 1 - 4 pm on Saturday, August 22nd, we will mingle and
have a sharing in libations. During these two days, Patrick Turner's work will
be available to purchase.

Afterward, you may go over to the Jazz Gallery at 926 East Center St. to gather
in memory of George Ray McCormick, Sr, whom we most recently lost on July 30,
2009. His special tribute is from 4 - 8 pm. A short program, poetry reading,
sharing of thoughts and music will begin at 6:00 pm so that people have time to
get themselves from one
place to another. His most recent "rooster" series will be exhibited along with
other pieces for purchase.
