The Milpitas Homeschool Support Group uses this email list for announcements, home education discussions, a bit of socializing, and exchanging information. While we're based in Milpitas, California, and we welcome those from Warm Springs, Fremont, and Berryessa, San Jose. We're an inclusive, relaxed group, with no bylaws, dues or participation requirements: everything is free or pay as you go. If you are currently homeschooling, or considering doing so, feel free to join and ask us a few questions or come and meet us!

To be a member of this group, at least one homeschooled child must be of school age, that is 5 by December 3 of this school year or older, up through senior year of high school. If your child is younger than this, we recommend you join Mom and Tots. Younger and older siblings are always welcome at age-appropriate activities.

Those parents who want to organize something of interest to their own family and invite others along may do so on this list. Hikes, park days, game nights, group science experiments, field trips, and tours are some of the activities that our members have set up during our group's history. List membership may include organizers of SF bay area events of interest to homeschoolers, but such posters should be on "no mail" accounts. Persons wishing to subscribe to the group will be asked to send a short email telling a little bit about themselves before being allowed to join. Please state that your child is of kindergarten age or up thru high school. Also state that you live in Milpitas or within commuting distance.
