DOODH DHARI 'MILK BABA' lived on 2 liters of milk a
day and nothing else for almost 30 years. His milk
austerity is matched by his growing of his deep brown
jatta (dreadlocks) for 52 years, ever since he
received his Vaishanava initiation at the age of 18.
For 20 years, this soft-spoken saint lived in tha Ram
Mandir, opposite a cremation ground called Arya Ghat
in the famed Pashupatinath Temple grounds of
Kathmandu, Nepal.

Because of his milk austerity, Baba says, he is aware
of many developments before they occur. He forecasted
the fall of the Berlin Wall some three years before it
happened and knew about the fall of the Babri Masjid.
He predicted the tragic murders of India's Prime
Ministers Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi a year before
they occurred. Recently he has speculated that
Kathmandu will be razed to the ground within ten years
because of some natural calamity like an earthquake!.

Milk Baba has travelled extensively throughout Nepal
and India, and 20 other countries, giving discourses
of the Ramayana, performing a 9 day recitation of the
entire Ramayana complete with discourses and bhajans
by the saints about Ram, and answers questions. He is
a Shastri, a highly learned scholar held in great respect.

Baba's messages for the world include: "Do your duty.
Remember God whenever you have leisure. Remove your
mind from worldly pleasures."
