Description

This FREE Yahoo Group is for anyone interested in or pursuing the Awakening of their Mind. It is a group for people based in Denver, COLORADO who would like to learn more about BUDDHISM (in general) regardless of affiliation, denomination, sect or lineage.

This group is really more of a clearinghouse of information with respect to places to study Buddhism and meditate in Colorado. If you are interested in Buddhism and not really sure where to start, this is a good place to begin. Check out the websites in the LINKS folder and keep looking for articles and reference material in the FILES folder as well. If you have any questions, post a message to the group.

RE: PHOTOS
I will rotate and change out photos of various Monastic of whom I have received photos of. If you have any photos of Monastic, feel free to share them. By my posting or maintaining photos within this group, it will not suggest that we are worshipping any Nun/Monk/Zen Master over another, or at all for that matter. We simply recognize the beauty in someone who has gone before us and who has endured many trials by taking the painstaking vows to become ordained. We respect this and pay homage to anyone who has undergone such a task regardless of their affiliation, sect or lineage, whether it be Tibetan, Japanese, Chinese, Thai or any other.

MESSAGES:
I will be posting messages to the group about ANY upcoming Buddhist lectures/Dharma Talks or meditation groups which I come across and this will act as like a clearing house of information with respect to Buddhism or something like that. Nothing too organized. This is America, people can visit two or three different temples per week if they want or attend Dharma lectures/meditation workshops by two or three different Zen Masters or Monastic from several different lineages if they desire to do so.

May this experience and each experience, bring us closer to enlightent!

Brian -Just another Buddhist and Native of Colorado (group moderator)
