3rd Baseman/Outfielder, MIGUEL CABRERA !!
Jose Miguel Torres Cabrera resides in Maracay, Venezuela.
Miguel was scouted and signed by Louie Eljaua and Miguel Garcia for the Florida Marlins and made his major league debut in 2003.
In 2005 Miguel finished third in the National League batting title race with a .323 batting average and was selected to the All-Star Game for the second straight season, while becoming the youngest player in Major League history to belt back-to-back 30 homer seasonsat 22 years, 143 days. Albert Pujols of the Cardinals did it at 22 years, 223 days.
Miguel is the fourth youngest player in history to post consecutive 100 RBI seasons and was the youngest player in MLB history to collect 30 homers, 100 RBIs while scoring 100 runs. He had a career-high 13-game hitting streak in 2005 and led the Marlins with 12 outfield assists. We can't wait to see what he will do in 2006!
