This is the Midrealm/Middle Kingdom subgroup for the Society Wide A&S 50 Challenge.

The Society for Creative Anachronism reaches A.S. (Anno Societatis/year of the Society) 50 on 1 May 2015 and this will be just cause for much celebration. A&S 50 Challengers are starting early and we hereby invite you to join the party!

Challenges have long been part of SCA culture and a Challenge of making, doing, or performing 50 A&S things seems appropriate for our 50th year. Since years in the SCA are counted as A.S., and Arts and Sciences is often abbreviated A&S, the A&S 50 for A.S. 50 Challenge (often abbreviated A&S 50) was born thanks to Lady Albreda Aylese. Through this challenge, participants will be helping to make the SCA the very best it can be as it enters its 50th year.

There are two types of challenges:

The Depth Challenge: 50 of any one type of thing, in order to push skills and knowledge to new levels (e.g. 50 lengths of tablet weaving, 50 bound books, 50 scrolls) as an apprentice would.

The Breadth Challenge: to do/make/learn/teach 50 new and different things such as what your persona might know.

This is for all ages, all skill levels, and all ranks of the SCA.
