Re: [MicroTrak] Micro-Trak RTG FA Switch

The two connections closest to the front edge ( the 6 pin mini DIN input side) are both grounds. The outside edge, marked "SW" on the board is the external configuration switch connection, to be switched to ground to change to the secondary configuration. The more inboard connection, marked "T" is an auxiliary telemetry input to read 0-5 Volts. For those of you with the older RTG FA versions, you have only one set of pads, the Config switch pads, but you can tap the board at pin 11 if you need an extra telemetry input, the PIC supports it. Please note that this only applies to the Micro-Trak RTG FA (NOT the single channel version) which uses a standard TT3 PIC.

I just bought a MT RTG FA and I want to install a switch to be able to select between the Primary and Secondary configurations. The manual I downloaded from the Byonics website shows two pads on the board for the switch connection. My unit has two sets of pads in that area. The PCB is marked v1.5.

I just want to double-check before I do any soldering on the board. Is the the two pads closest to the edge of the PCB (one round pad and one square pad)?

Thanks in advance.
