We are mostly former believing Mormons who have chosen to leave the faith. Some of us are loved ones of Mormons or former believing Mormons. Because of the nature of the church, it was a difficult and painful experience for all of us to leave. We get together to support one another.

This group, 'Michigan Post-Mormons' is primarily a social group for former believing mormons who live in Michigan, in the US. Most of our postings are to coordinate social events.

The mission of the Post-Mormon Community is to provide a safe and supportive environment for people struggling with their Mormon beliefs, or who have left the Mormon Church. We accomplish that mission by connecting people who have years of experience outside the church with those first discovering they have the wings to explore the myriad of questions, ideas, feelings, hurts and new discoveries as they explore life beyond Mormonism. When considering what is and is not appropriate content for this site, ask yourself, "Does this contribute to the mission of Post-Mormon?" If the answer is "yes", then it is probably appropriate content for this site.
