The Michelle Walker Teddy Bear Foundation was started in the loving memory of Michelle Renee Walker on what would have been her 13th birthday, May 2, 2003. Michelle passed away in August of 2001 after a double lung transplant that was needed after 11 years of living with Cystic Fibrosis, struggling to breath and living on oxygen the last 2 years of her life. Michelle touched MANY, MANY lives in her short life.
Michelle died in bed with her mother over 600 miles from home still under Dr.'s care while they lived in a hotel. Her precious little heart just could not take the strain and the angels came, (she told her mother the angels were coming), and took her home to Heaven in such a gentle way.
The foundation now serves 3 counties in middle Tn. and now in the Vanderbilt Children's Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee!



New teddy bears can be donated to the foundation, which will be given to children in crisis in Michelle's hometown, Hickman County, Tennessee.
