[FBIS Translated Text]
An official Interior Ministry source has stated
the following:

Based on what was mentioned by His Royal Highness
Interior Minister Prince Nayif Bin-Abd-al-Aziz at the
news conference he held in Tabuk on Wednesday 27 Rabi
al-Awwal 1424 Hegira [corresponding to 28 May 2003]
regarding the intention to announce the details of
what the Interior Ministry discovered through its
intensive and accurate follow-up of the efforts by all
security agencies to hunt down persons wanted for
having planned to commit terrorist acts in various
areas in the kingdom, and whose identities it
promised, in a previous statement, to reveal in due
time; the following, thank God, has been achieved:

First: The following persons were arrested in
Medina on Tuesday 26 Rabi al-Awwal 1424 Hegira in
Medina [corresponding to 27 May, 2003]:

1. Ali Khudayr Fahd al-Khudayr, a Saudi
national.

2. Ahmad Humud al-Khalidi, a Saudi national.

The two were arrested in villa No. 9 in the
Al-Iskan neighborhood in Medina. They were found
in possession of one Kalashnikov and a magazine loaded
with 30 bullets, one pistol and 136 bullets, two
remote controls, a transmission and reception booster,
two bags containing chemical substances, a set of
power circuits used in the manufacture of explosives,
and a hidden camera installed on the outside door to
monitor the street.

Second: Three persons were arrested at an Internet
cafe in Medina on Tuesday 26 Rabi al-Awwal 1424 Hegira
[corresponding to 27 May, 2003]. They are:

1. Sa'd Abd-al-Razzaq Faydi al-Ghamidi, a Saudi
national.

2. Turki Abd-al-Aziz al-Fuhayd, a Saudi
national.

3. Muhammad Abd-al-Fattah Muhammad Karram, a
Moroccan national.

They were found in possession of a pistol and some
forged identity cards.

Third: The following persons were arrested at a
villa in Al-Azhari neighborhood near Al-Rayyan school
in Medina on Wednesday 27 Rabi al-Awwal 1424 Hegira
[corresponding to 28 May 2003]:

1. Nasir Hamad Humayn al-Fahd, a Saudi national.

2. Muhammad Salim al-Ghamidi, a Saudi national.

3. Hisham Mubarak al-Hakami, a Saudi national.

4. Umar Mubarak al-Hakami, a Saudi national.

5. Majdi Ahmad Muhammad Ibrahim Abdallah
al-Khabrani, a Saudi national.

6. Talib Ahmad Karim, a Moroccan national.

They were found in possession of condensers and
various types of wires to create power circuits to be
used in explosions. They were also found in
possession of five ammunition boxes, 17 Kalashnikovs,
eight magazines loaded with ammunition, three pistols,
one magazine, several manuals for preparing
explosives, and an amount of 48,471 riyals and $800.

Fourth: Having chased one of the vehicles that
fled one of the arrest locations, the security men
managed to stop the vehicle and apprehend the
passengers. It transpired that it was driven by
Abd-al-Mun'im Ali Mahfuz al-Ghamidi. He was
accompanied by three Arab women who had no identity
cards with them. One of the women, called Ghayda Ahmad
Muhammad Suwayda, a Syrian national, claimed to be the
wife of Abd-al-Mun'im. Hanan Abdallah Ruqayb, a
Moroccan national, claimed to be the wife of Sultan
Bin-Jubran al-Qahtani, one of those wanted. The third
woman, Al-Ayadiyah Ahmad Muhammad al-Sayyad, a
Moroccan national, claimed to be the wife of Ali
Abd-al-Rahman al-Faq'asi al-Ghamidi, one of those
wanted.

An amount of money totaling 709,782 riyals, two
pistols, 34 bullets, three magazines, seven boxes of
jewelry and forged documents were found on them.

Fifth: It transpired to the investigation
agencies that the aforesaid frequented several
locations and shuttled between them for purposes of
deception. These locations were two villas in the
Al-Iskan neighborhood of holy Medina, a villa in the
Al-Azhari neighborhood of holy Medina, and a farm in
the Al-Nasim neighborhood of holy Medina. Having
searched these locations, it transpired that they
collected there weapons, hand grenades, and chemical
materials. They set up hidden cameras in these
locations to monitor their perimeters, a place for
copying wills, and places to hide chemical materials,
which were found in barrels.

The total amount of materials seized at these
locations was as follows: Nineteen machine guns;
three pistols; three hand grenades; seven boxes filled
with ammunition; dangerous chemical materials;
computers; papers including instructions on how to
make explosive devices; a set of electrical tools,
wires, and boards; several swords; and several
booby-trapped mobiles to be used in detonation.

In conclusion, the source said that the security
agencies of the Ministry of Interior have continued to
monitor and chase those who plan to carry out such
terrorist attacks, those engaged in instigation, and
those who cover up for such attacks. The security
agencies have also continued to confront and expose
them, God willing.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Interior would like
to recall its previous announcement regarding the
importance of the roles that can be played by all
citizens and residents in contributing to the security
agencies' efforts in this regard.

It is God who grants success.
