Greetings, Meridies!

I am the coordinator of the Meridian Social at Gulf Wars, and by
extension I'm coordinating Meridies' contribution to the Known World
Party as well.

We need to raise money through private donations to cover the costs
of tasty adult beverages for both the Social and the Known World
Party. I am asking for your assistance in raising that money.

By passing the hat at Menhir and Midwinter A&S, we have already
raised $368.00. We need to raise quite a bit more if we are going to
have great parties. I will be at Collegium Convivialis at the end of
February, and hope to have some minions out and about at other events
passing the hat as well. If you can't make it to an event, you may

I know that we got a bit of a late start on this; any contribution
you can share would be most appreciated. If you are interested in
helping out with the Meridian Social, I'll be happy to find something
for you to do.

Her Majesty has a great theme for the party – Come as Your Favorite
Goth (Visigoth, Ostragoth, Gothicgoth … whatever tickles your
fancy). Feel free to sack Rome on your way to the party (we'll even
let the sacked Romans come and hang out). We are lining up
entertainment, including a command performance by Duchess Katrina of
Iron Maiden and costume competitions (special prize for the outfit
most likely to get a marauder laughed out of Rome before they even
storm the gates).

We are working on creating a web page; as soon as it is ready, we'll
post the url on the Meridian Forums.
