The Mentalists Asylum is a worldwide discussion group for amateur, semi professional and professional magicians with an interest in the branch of magic known as mentalism.

The group is not about belief systems. The group is about performing mentalism. If people wish to discuss cold reading, palmistry, astrology etc that is fine so long as it is for entertainment purposes. This group is essentially for entertainers.

The list is only open to bona fide magicians/mentalists, who may join the group only by being known to an existing member. Applicants are checked out thoroughly prior to approval.

This is a secure group so methods and effects (established and new) may be freely disclosed and discussed openly.

The rights to an idea or new effect belong to the person initially posting it and members should credit the original source accordingly.
