Definitely interested. I am hopeful that by the time Megacon roles around, the character that I first started it with will be ready for 1-5. I have another character that should be ready for 1-2 and beyond.

How many are interested if the two round adventures for Embers of Eawn were offered? Please respond here

I would have to secure the cooperation of a few other con organizers to complete the series across a series of conventions.

Not a definite that I'll be able to make the con yet, but if I do I'd probably
be happy to play a few...so far I've only been able to pick up 1-1 and 1-2.

Welcome Back to The World of Terrath

It is an age of exploration and adventure. Religious sects, political groups and wealthy merchant guilds struggle against one another to gain power, wealth and influence in the Free City-States. Meanwhile, caravans and expeditions leave daily to reclaim the shattered and deadly lands of Terrath. Will you band together with these brave souls on their journeys or will you strive to join the ranks of such elite groups as The Bearers of Aegis or Keepers of the Secret Flame? Or will you find your own path to greatness? Everyone has a destiny. Where will yours take you?

The Shroud of the Ancients Role Playing Game (SOTARPG) from Dark Tavern Press is here at MegaCon 2010. Powered by the D5 System, Shroud of the Ancients utilizes a tiered magic system for flexibility and creativity. It is a classless, levelless, skill driven rules set that doesn't constrain your character with limitations and restrictions. The Shroud of the Ancients Role Playing Game brings to life a realistic fantasy world where heroes, armed with cold steel, quick wits and formidable magic, vie for power against the enemies of the innocent.

Join us at MegaCon 2010 (March 12th, 13th & 14th) for free demos of the Shroud of The Ancients Role Playing Game during the following slots:

Slot 4 - Friday 7pm - 11pm
Slot 5 – Saturday 9am - 1pm
Slot 6 – Saturday 2pm - 6pm
Slot 7 – Saturday 7pm - 11pm
Slot 8 – Sunday 9am - 1pm

At our game tables, you'll learn how quick and easy it is to make a character using SOTA LITE. Plus, you'll get to experience the world of Terrath in a two new introductory adventures.

In the adventure entitled Dead Calm - Part One: Catch and Release, your old friend, Statesman Devoric Vastion, invites you to the small town of Warden Falls to watch him compete for the title of Grand Fisherman during the annual spring festival. But when the Statesman's Lake Master disappears and he is told that he must forfeit the match, he asks you for assistance.

Also, in the adventure, Dead Calm - Part Two: The One That Got Away, the competition is over, but the townsfolk are on edge and many questions are still left unanswered. What unseen perils await you as you journey deeper into the mystery of Warden Falls and undertake your search for the one that got away?

Dark Tavern Press welcomes first time players. If you have any questions about the D5 system or the Shroud of the Ancients campaign setting visit our Independent Press Booth in the dealer's room or prior to the convention, email us at contact@...

I will open registration for the Organized Play RPG games in rooms 221B and C. I
have more tables than before.

The room features Living Forgotten Realms, Pathfinder RPG, and Legends of the
Shining Jewel.

We have been given premiere modules for LSJ, and we have one of the modules pair
of authors there.

I have asked for the Battle Interactive for LFR. I have the DDXP Core Special,
and this year I will run the first three MINI campaign adventures.

I opened the LFR registration. LSJ and Pathfinder are coming soon.

A lot going on, so hang on its going to be quite the ride.

I have been toying with the idea of running some 3.5 D&D possibly this
year or next. It would be a visually interesting game with Dwarven
Forge dungeons and D&D miniatures. It would not be pathfinder. Is
there any interest in this?

If you are running something you need to get Joe to assign you space. If you want to play one of the Organized Campaigns I have that up for preregistration at no additional charge past your admission.

Yes I know that I need to ask Joe. It was a general query to see what
people thought about a 3.5 game if there was even room for it and that I
would not be taking from the already established groups in the area. I
appreciate your feedback however I am good friends with Joe and know the
procedures about running. I've actually been running games at megacon
for three or four years now. As I said it is just a general query.

I will be running 3 D&D 3.5 mini-campaigns at MegaCon 2010.  all will be starting during the 2pm session.  The Friday and Sunday one will be a 1st level while the Saturday one will be a 4th or 5th level.  I will be supplying all the books and such.  If you have your own dice then bring them!  I hope to have the scenarios posted to Joe by Thursday so he can get them posted on the web site.  Let me know if you have any questions.

Hey Joe,

Thanks for the files concerning Capital Ship Combat and CON-Troll. They are
perfect.

If you would like, I can upload more/new photos of the models as they are
finished being rehabed.

Two things that I want to add is that there will also be some "kid's games" for
the PS2s in the S.E.A.D.S. game room such as Scooby Doo - Night of a Thousand
Frights and Neo Pets. Also, this year there will be headsets available for the
systems. Indeed, based on feedback from S.E.A.D.S. personnel, I'm pretty sure
that the use of the headphones for Guitar Hero/Rock Band will be mandatory.

I can't get anymore pictures on the MegaCon site, but if you want to post stuff to the Yahoo group go ahead.
I'm guessing separate messages for CFC and SEADS items.
John, I just have to tell you I really appreciate all you do at the con.
Thanks.

Play your favorite campaigns
• Living Forgotten Realms

• New player orientation and help

Enjoy all those things Megacon offers!

Tickets are available for purchase at:

You can't tell me that these games won't fit in at Megacon (especially since I
have been going for 6 years). I would prefer that seads not even get involved,
leaving Megacon to do great gaming as in the past. Also I have been to 6/7 cons
all over Florida so I know what to expect with and without seads.

Secondly, when it comes to seads, I see so few people in the room as compared to
console gaming rooms elsewhere. I guess our definitions of a "hit" vary. If you
would have gone to Megacon's gaming area last year you would have known what I'm
referring to. Lines were 20-30 people deep, and the tourneys filled up minutes
after opening the list (32 people max). So call console gaming whatever you
want, but side by side console gaming is more popular.

Computer gaming is not my area of responsibility, but I feel I need to comment on this topic and bring up some other things.

SEADS is just one of the gaming areas at the convention.  They are in their own room, 225.  That's located just outside Hall D2, the main hall for the convention.

In addition to SEADS there should be console gaming in the mail hall.  It will be in the back right corner.  This is in the back of the Artists Alley section.

Over on the opposite side against the wall will be the Con-Troll gaming area.  That's where you will find Capital Ship Combat and the Con-Troll Library of games, along with Hot Wheels racing.

Next we have Paint & Take in Room 221 D & E.

Organized RPG in Room 221 B & C.

Then up on the next level above the Hall C lobby we'll have additional gaming in Rooms 315 A & B.  Room 315 A will have CCG, RPG and Board Games.  315 B will be the HeroClix and Games Workshop room.  We hope to have Warhammer Fantasy and possibly 40K and WOR there.

OK, that's enough for now.

I will also be adding a schedule of HeroClix games shortly. These will be run

Room 315 A will be a "multiverse" room. Plans are to have RPG, Board, Card and

Paint & Take that will be downstairs.

As always, questions and comments can be addressed here or directly to me at
