According to information I have received from someone in the department concerned, 46 people out of a total of 61 will be laid off at the end of May from a Gazette department known as RSS - Reader Sales and Service (known in previous years simply as Circulation).

 

The work is due to be jhandled in Winnipeg.

 

No one has bothered to worry about what is going to happen when Francophone customers who have not received the paper that day call up and, quite naturally, speak in French.
