Math Camp: A Safe Place For Mathematics at Black Rock City.

Welcome!

Math Camp is a place at Burning Man for people who are interested in or have questions about anything mathematical. Mathephils and mathephobes alike are welcome! A background in mathematics is not required. Questions and conversations are the goal.

This group is for discussing anything in any branch of mathematics, from theory to applied math/physics/engineering to teaching mathematics to math jokes.

This group is also intended as a springboard for planning and directing Math Camp at Burning Man for 2006, and years beyond that. Activities and recommendations for Math Camp are welcome. Participation is desired.

The Moderate asks that discussions be kept with the range of topics listed above for the most part. "Flame wars" will not be tolerated, and many other topics lead directly to them.
