Welcome to MassRecycle! Join MassRecycle & our listserv to learn what is going on in the MA related to recycling and waste prevention!!
MassRecycle, a statewide coalition of individuals, governments, businesses, institutions and non-profit organizations, was organized in 1989 in response to a need for statewide advocacy to establish recycling programs. Its founders and early members recognized that widespread recycling would help to conserve natural resources, energy, landfill space and open space. More recently, recycling has been proven to reduce greenhouse emissions. As for the MA economic benefits, there are nearly 1,500 recycling businesses in the Commonwealth that employ a total of 19,500 people and have a combined annual payroll of $557 million.
