Although the 2007 Summer Sailstice is now in the records books, there are still opportunities to win prizes.  The photo & essay contests are based on post event submitted entries.  I have not yet seen mention of winners of the other prizes.

What did you all do?

How many of you sailed?  Where?

American Sailing Association (ASA) and Sunsail Announce a winner for the Free Trip to American Sailing Week 2007 for Summer Sailstice!
San Francisco, CA
One lucky sailing enthusiast, Virginia based Catalina 25 owner Cecilie Ann Witt, struck gold for Summer Sailstice 2007 and when her name was drawn to celebrate Summer Sailstice 2007 at American Sailing Week in Antigua with ASA and Sunsail. Cecilie describers herself as a born water baby having been a swimmer since age three and enjoying all things water related ever since.  However it was just about 10 years ago she managed to get on a sailboat for the first time in Provincetown, MA and instantly developed a fabulous new relationship with the watery world.
In the subsequent 10 years of sailing Cecilie says she's hardly been off the water spending as much time as possible sailing.  She managed to get her own boat, the Catalina 25, just three years ago and sails it all year long in all conditions except perhaps snow storms!  "Cecilie's infectious enthusiasm for sailing really makes it a privilege for us to be able award her a trip to Antigua," said ASA Executive Director Charlie Nobles.  "We look forward to sailing with Cecilie at American Sailing Week over Summer Sailstice as it's a great time and place for all of us to celebrate on and off the water!"
The Summer Sailstice celebration of sailing in Antigua is a rendezvous for ASA's worldwide membership and sailing friends.  2007 is the first year ASA/Sunsail have awarded this free one-week trip to Antigua which includes airfare, room, sailing recreation and Summer Sailstice celebration at the waterfront Club Colonna sailing resort.  Though Cecilie has picked up one nice prize for 2007, your prize may be next! There are hundreds more great prizes still available, including a one-week Moorings BVI charter, a Hobie Kayak, an Achilles inflatable, a sail with Sailtime and many more.
Just make sure you sign up at http://www.summersailstice.com// and go sailing on Summer Sailstice, June 23/24.
