BIC SPORT Open Bic Sailing Dinghy
Open Bic Sailing Dinghy
 CATEGORY: Boats
 BRAND: Bic Sport
Item Description
The O'pen Bic is a new performance dinghy for kids. The O'Pen Bic is designed for recreational, advanced and competition use for children and teenagers.

The O'pen Bic is THE link between the Optimist generation and the new generation of sailing dinghies. The fast, planing hull of the O'pen Bic gives a dynamic sailing experience of a true dinghy that heels.

Being at the helm of this powerful machine gives you the same excitement normally experienced on a boat for adults.  Young sailors are fully independent on the water and will be proud to sail such a modern-looking and elegant boat, one that both sails and looks like the boat of today's champions.

Check out the new O'pen Bic website!
The Opti rig, dagger board and rudder will fit the O'pen Bic - so all you have to do is buy the hull only.  Your children will be familiar with the rig and parts so the transition will be that much easier. Later you can add the O'pen Bic rig and parts to encourage progression.

Specifications:
  • Hull by Bic Sport - same technology as their thermoformed kayaks
  • Mast is by Excel - maker of Fiberspar windsurfing masts
  • Sail is by Neil Pryde - maker of 49er Olympic sails
  • Daggerboard and rudder is by Cobra - maker of top windsurfers and windsurf skegs
  • Hardware by Harken and Marlow
Sailing Clubs who are interested in getting involved in the O'pen Bic program, please get in touch directly with us. There is special pricing established for clubs to buy the O'pen Bic. We will be happy to provide financing for your organization.

Shipping is only $150 to most addresses via common carrier.
Hull only, for use with the OPTI rig and blades, is just $1,299 - call for information on ordering.
