Hi, all- Here is another quick update about Saturday’s Regatta from Bob Johnstone:
REGISTRATIONS ARE NOW AT 93 BOATS - 3 days to go. See the attached Scratch Sheet with currently projected start times. Be sure to get the latest info to be printed at 1500 hours on Friday, before the Captain's Meeting
ONE-DESIGN TROPHIES - We have 5 trophies to award. Barring any dramatic
change, such as a more numerous one-design fleet registering, these will go to the Cape Dory 28, Soling, J/22 and Thunderbird class winners - all with 3+ entries. The announced criteria were a trophy for classes with 5 or more boats. We may still have to revert to that policy, but right now it appears as though the Cape Dory 28 and J/22 will make it with 3. One trophy is being held for the Thompson Island Outward Bound pulling boats if we can get several to sign up. A separate "reaching" course would be established for them.
