Today & Tomorrow in BOSTON : 16/Sep - Challenge Transat 2006 - Leg 2 Boston, MA, USA

http://www.challengetransat.com/en/

The RACE will RE-Start from Marblehead on Sunday Sept. 17th at 12:00

They will leave from Boston Sunday the 17th at 9:00 AM heading for Marblehead
So if you want to see them you’ll have to get an early start on Sunday .. i.e. being at Deer Island Light at about 9:30 should put you in a spot to watch them pass by you or you could chase them up towards Marblehead ..

Meet the Crew;

But still from Marblehead

Start postponed by 2 hours
But still from Marblehead

The start will still be from Marblehead, but it has now changed to 2pm local time (that's 1900h UK time), to allow the yachts time to sail from Boston.

The yachts will be leaving Boston Yacht Haven on Commercial Wharf at 9.00 - 9.30 local time, so if you are in Boston to see them off, then this is when you will need to be there.

If you want to watch the start in Marblehead from the shore, then Chandler Hovey Park, on Marblehead Neck will be a good vantage point.

This evening the crew will be getting bussed back to Marblehead for the Farewell Barbeque (burgers, chicken and clam chowder).

The yachts and their crews are all set and ready to go!
