We are a support group for unschoolers for the Montgomery County/Frederick County Area. Unschooling is not clearly defined by any one person, a pretty good definition can be found at these sites:

Unschooling Family Connection was founded in order to to provide support for unschooling parents; and activities, socialization, and fun for the children. We have field trips, park days, celebrations, and online support.
Our group doesn't discriminate on the basis of race, religion, ethnic background, political or sexual orientation (or anything else, for that matter!). We have formed for the sole purpose of establishing contact with other families in our local area who have chosen this natural way of learning.
We are a cooperative support group, meaning that all members need to contribute to the group in order to make us grow and thrive. This list is ot a discussion list open to the public, it is for communication between UFC members. (We do of course encourage active discussion among members!)
If you would like to join, please respond to the subscription request letter you will find in your email. If you do not respond to the introductory letter, you will not be approved for membership.
