This is an adjunct group to Marxtrain Group. A shortened description of both Group's purpose is: "discussion of collecting, operating, repairing and restoring toy trains manufactured by Louis Marx & Company."

The MarxTrain Group owners needed a place to put seasonal layouts, proposed new homepage photos (for the Yahoo! Group Marxtrain home page), and other to-be recognized uses. So, we started this group.

Group settings are set to follow this concept:

1) Messages are publicly archived, so a search engine can find them.
2) Yahoo! requires people to be members to be able to see pictures. and files. So we have have no-approval-required membership.
3) To block spam, then, only moderators can do much of anything (posting messages and uploading pictures & files).

Messages should be infrequent in this Group. With permission of the original poster, messages of probable lasting interest could be reposted from MarxTrain. [E-mail addresses, telephone numbers, addresses and other such personal identification needs to be edited out by the re-poster.] Or elements to a FAQ {list of Freqently Asked Questions and their answers} could possibly be built here.

The co-owners may change some members status to moderators. Especially those that have been helpful at MarxTrain.
