With their Chandleresque undertones and well-researched backgrounds, these mysteries have become very popular in the past decade, so come and say why you like them or even why you dislike them, if they're not particularly your cup of tea. Some discussion of other Roman detectives is perfectly acceptable but the focus is Falco and the Rome and empire of the Flavian Emperors.
