This group is open to all knitters who are interested in Fair Isle knitting, and wish to make a garment, whether a vest, cardigan, pullover, scarf, bag, or pillow, with that chart as the basis. We welcome knitters of all ages and experience, whether you have been knitting for 40 years or have just picked up needles and done a simple project before. There is no set time limit, so folks who knit slower or have other commitments will have plenty of time to finish their projects with us. Posts are not limited to Fair Isle knitting, other styles of knitting are welcome to be discussed. Good manners are always welcome and the moderators will remove anyone who is rude on the list. Please join us on our journey exploring the pleasures of Fair Isle knitting!

For our Fall/Winter 2009 KAL we will be picking a pattern from AS' 'Book of Fair Isle Knitting' to make. The book will be republished by Dover in August 2009. In the meantime, we're using the waiting time to finish up projects that have been languishing on the back burner. With the book being republished and J & S bringing back many of the discontinued colors for the American distributor, there is lots of excitement building for our next KAL!
