This is Manny’s Cop News!

The Manny’s Cop News List is here to provide cop news. As a member of this list you will be able to post cop news of any sort to the list. It’s nice to hear what kinds of things are in the news in places other than our own. This can be gangs, prison, drugs and whatever else is worth looking at. A lot of the members are associated with prisons or jails, so there will often be that slant.

If you use a public news source please do give credit to the source and the date it was published. If you quote from another list, please do also give that person credit. We do also ask you get permission where needed.

This is primarily a news list, though a little chat does not really hurt so long as it is news related. You are welcome to add personal commentary to your posts. Please keep things respectable.

Manny’s Cop News is a restricted mailing list. We had law-enforcement officers, district attorneys, and other official investigators in mind when this list was created. Being honorably retired from one of these positions works for us as well. A limited number of other persons have been allowed to join as well on a case by case basis. We recognize the value of each. If you wish to subscribe, you can find all the info you need on this page. You should also send an email to Manny_Cop_News-owner@yahoogroups.com and let the list owner know you are interested in subscribing.

You should be able to say what department you work for. If you have a recommendation from a member of this list, or are a member of another restricted list, it will help get you on this one. If we do not hear from you, we may just reject your application with out an explanation.
