Islamic Jurisprudence according to the Maliki School of Legal Theory
This is a place for Muslims to learn about and discuss Maliki fiqh, that is, Islamic jurisprudence according to the legal school named after its founder, Imam Malik, who lived in the early, formative period of Islamic history in the city of Madina, home of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.
This group is intended to be a forum for the dissemination of knowledge and ideas, as well as a networking opportunity. We are all seekers of beneficial knowledge and this group is a collective effort of various interested parties. This group does not represent just one group or collectivity, nor is it associated with one particular scholar, but rather, it reflects the diversity that is the Maliki school in both the East and West.
"There will come a time shortly when people will beat the flanks of their camels searching from East to West in pursuit of knowledge. And they will find no one more knowledgeable than the scholar of Madina." - Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.

Warning: Please keep all discussions within the scope of this group's subject, which is the academic discussion of Islamic scholarship. Propaganda and inflammatory comments against any government or its people will not be tolerated, and as for any advocation of (even for mere "open-mindedness" about) acts of extremism or terrorism, this will result in instant expulsion from the group. By the way, the true scholars of our religion have unanimously condemned terrorism as a crime.
All debates should be conducted maturely and without rancor, and sectarian bashing should be avoided.
