A brief history of the Apostle Thomas and the Malankara Church he established.

The Apostle Thomas arrived in Kodungalloor (Muziris) in Kerala in 52 AD, preached the gospel, established seven churches, and moved on to other kingdoms; returning to Madras (Mylapore) in 72 AD. The ministry of St. Thomas in India is associated with the Indo-Parthian king, Gondophares in the north and with king Vasudeva (Mazdeo) of the Kushan dynasty in the south. The latter is said to have condemned the apostle Thomas to death in the year AD 72 .

"Split / divisions in the Malankara Church have occurred hundred of years ago & cannot be solved in a day or month." Malankara church politics as spicy as it is, is nothing but a big shame.No mails on the Patriarch or Catholicose DISPUTE, accusing, blaming & inciting shall be published.

Loyalty to church, respect for elders and clergy, clarity in thought, desire to learn & ask questions politely, all this shows our faithful nature to God. One day we will stand before him in judgement. All members are advised to keep these points in mind before making postings.
