Description
|
This is a group of people that live in the Madison Wisconsin area and have a common interest in Guatemala, its people and issues. We initially got together in October 2005 to coordinate our activites to help our friends in Guatemala who were affected by the floods and mudslides associated with Hurricane Stan. We continue to meet and share information.
The Madison Guatemala Network (MGN) works to raise awareness about the culture, history and conditions of the people of Guatemala and Guatemala’s relationship with the United States. The Network builds mutually beneficial ties between people of both countries as part of global movements for democracy, environmental sustainability, and social and economic justice.
