"And on her tongue is the law of kindness." Jewish rabbis attribute that statement of praise to King Solomon, spoken about his mother, Bathsheba. What a tribute by a son for his mother! Yet how often do we say something we regret, even before it is out of our mouths, but we can't take it back?

How often do we "wish we had remembered" to say a kind word to our children, husband, or friend instead of a criticism, put-down, or angry retort. Then maybe, just maybe, our children will someday say about us what King Solomon said about his mum.
