Late Night Saxophone   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #6701 of 7414 |
Hi,

I haven't written in a while, but my late night saxophonist friend continues his nightly street concerts unabated. Tonight I called in my disturbing the peace complaint around 1:15AM, after he broke into a summertime rendition of "Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!" It is now 2:30 and, of course, nobody ever responded.

Of the probably 50 times I've called in a disturbing the peace complaint, nobody has ever responded. Not once.

It is not as though my saxophonist friend is hard to locate. Head out to 18th Street most any night around 1:00AM and he will be the one standing on the street playing the saxophone. Usually in the vicinity of Left Bank.

Is there something I am doing wrong such that nobody ever responds to my disturbing the peace complaints? I call 311, make my complaint, give them the address, and sometimes leave my name and number. But nothing ever happens. Why?

Doug Ward
