MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers. MOPS International exists to meet the needs of every kind of mom- stay-at-home moms, working moms, and single moms- moms who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be! MOPS strives to meet these needs through monthly meetings with guest speakers, devotions, and crafts, playgroups, special interest groups, and an overall sense of community and belonging with all of the members. MOPS recognizes that the years from infancy to kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs. Most importantly, MOPS provides a welcomed break, a chance to make new friends, and the opportunity to know that you are not the only mom who goes through the struggles and joys of raising young children.

MOPS of Riverchase Community group meets during the school year every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at 6:30PM. We meet at Riverchase Community Church in the Riverchase area of Hoover. Childcare is available at no charge. We just ask that if possible you make a reservation so we can have enough childcare workers.
We also have a Book Club, a playgroup, and family parties. Also with your $30 annual MOPS fee ($20 goes to MOPS International and you'll get a bunch of neat things as well as a bi-monthly magazine and $10 goes to help pay for all of the great crafts we do) you can choose to join our FREE babysitting co-op. That means you don't pay money for a babysitter.
