This list is for families using the classical approach to education as outlined in Laura Berquist's independent study program, Mother of Divine Grace (MODG), and in her book Designing Your Own Classical Curriculum (DYOCC). The discussions on this loop primarily revolve around the implementation and use of resources which are recommended in the MODG syllabi and in DYOCC. Additionally, we always welcome conversations about the classical methodology of MODG/DYOCC.

Our goal is to offer practical support to Christian families using this approach. This list is only as good as the members make it. Therefore, we encourage all members to participate on a regular basis and strongly discourage lurking. For this reason, there is a biweekly minimum posting requirement.

This group will not be a place to defend our religious beliefs but rather an opportunity to come together with support and ideas for the unique challenges we face. We are Christians who hold a common belief in the Triune God as stated in the Nicene Creed.

Subscription to this loop is moderator approved as it is for those actually using the MODG and/or DYOCC ideas and recommendations. This list is not an affiliation of Mother of Divine Grace School, nor is it endorsed or monitored by Laura Berquist.
