Possum Trot Orienteering Weekend

Come and join the MNOC group going to the fun Possum Trot orienteering club weekend in Kansas City on Dec 12 and 13th 2009.

A group of MNOC folks will be carpooling down to Kansas City on Friday Dec 11th, competing in the Kansas O champs on Saturday and the Possum Trot XIII mass start goat style 16km race on Sunday. We expect to be back in the Twin Cities by around 10 pm Sunday night.

The last MNOC event of 2009 is coming up this Sunday  Nov 22nd at Battle Creek on E side of St Paul.

Where: Battle Creek Regional Park: the meet start/finish is at a new location : the warming house at Afton Heights park, just 200 m East of the water park entrance at 2506 Upper Afton Rd. click here http://www.mapquest.com/maps?city=Maplewood+&state=MN&address=2506+Upper+Afton+Rd

When: Sunday Nov 22nd Note   with the fall meet hours (after DST) with starts from 11 am - 12:30 pm and course closing at 2:30 pm

What: Full range of orienteering courses on offer designed by the Darrell Louder/David Robinson/Todd Peterson team . E punch will be used for the advanced courses. A brand new updated map !

Hot chocolate and warming shelter will be provided.

Just a reminder of MNOC Veteran's Day Night O at Katharine Abbott Park in Mahtomedi on Wednesday Nov 11th  with starts from 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm and socializing/refreshments/treats after

We will have a ~2.5 km sprint course (intermediate navigation), and 2 micro O courses (only ~300 meters but lots of controls) with maze O. All courses will be epunch. Don't forget to bring a headlamp/flashlight..

Please bring a refreshment (cookies, brownies or something tasty) to share if you can.
