Roz, I found I had a picture in my flickr account from when I first knit my
Berroco scarf. It was called the multidirectional scarf and if you google that
title the pattern pops up.

I don't know if its much different that what you are working on, someone showed
me a scarf she is doing in the true domino style and it isn't much different
except holding stitches live while you move on and picking up other side
stitches and knitting along those. A class would really help out here on that
method. I can't go to the next one but maybe after that.It is being held in
Plano in the daytime and I don't have a vehicle to go that far that often. They
are meeting once a week for several weeks to learn it.

Hi Elfriede, I'm making friends among the people here at the condo association
but I don't think there's anyone here who either has an embroidery machine or a
knitting machine.
That's ok, I am used to doing my own thing so will continue.

Hi Betty, I was just really surprised that there were no machine knitters in TC.
I know about the Grand Rapids club, I've been to a couple of their seminars when
they had the big huge ones and went to a small one somewhere around Grand Rapids
a few years ago.  Once I re-learn how to drive in snow I probably won't feel so
isolated <G>

Today my neighbor came over with a hat she's been trying to hand knit for 2
weeks.  She's made a lot of mistakes on it, mostly forgetting how many rows she
knitted and then forgetting which side she was on (right or wrong).     I
laughed at her and told her that in the time she's been knitting that simple hat
I knitted and felted 2 hats, embroidered a garden flag and painted a room.   
So----I showed her how easy it is to cast on and knit a few rows.   She was
speechless.   I ended up rewinding her yarn, taking my LK 140 out of the closet
and taking it over to her house, setting it up in her sunroom and starting her
hat over again.  I left her with it and told her if she messes it up, call me
but call before taking it off and rewinding because possibly I can fix it.

Maybe--just maybe--we'll have another machine knitter in Traverse City before
long.
